Before you buy a strap
These are the widths the makers publish for current or best-known references. Older references and other sizes can differ, so check yours with a calliper if you can: here is how. Each watch links to its strap page, which shows it drawn to scale on every strap.

Odd sizes
Rolex's 21 mm and 19 mm widths are the ones people get wrong most often. A 20 mm strap will rattle in a 21 mm gap, and a 22 mm one will not fit. Look for straps sold in the exact size, or ones made with 21 mm ends. Not on the list? Search the strap matcher: it has the specs of about 2,100 watches.
